While the plum blossoms are reaching their peak in many parts of Kyoto city, Koshoji Temple in Shimogyo Ward is captivating the hearts of worshipers as it offers a view of the plum blossoms in full bloom through the heart.

Two plum trees, one red and one white, are lined up in front of the Sanmon gate in the precincts. According to Koshoji Temple, the flowers have started blooming about a week earlier than usual this year, probably due to the warm winter, and many people are visiting.

A particularly popular photo spot is through the metal fittings of the Chozuya. It is decorated with the ancient Japanese pattern ``Inome,'' which resembles a heart, and when you look at the red plum blossoms between them, it creates a pink heart. From 2022, the number of posts on Instagram has started to increase, and it is secretly gaining popularity.
