''Charisai'', an event for bicycle enthusiasts, began on May 25, 2024 at the Yodogawa River Park Sewari Tsutsumi area (Yawata City, Kyoto Prefecture). Visitors were able to enjoy an event all about bicycles, with test rides of sports bikes and booths where people could take care of their favorite bikes.

The Sewari Bank area, where the Kizugawa, Ujigawa, and Katsura rivers converge, is a popular resting point for cycling. The event has been held since 2018 by the Yodogawa River Park Management Center in cooperation with a bicycle sales company in Saitama Prefecture.

For the test ride experience, various brands of bicycles were exhibited, and visitors could ride them on a approximately 2-kilometer course along the Kizugawa River to see how comfortable they were to ride. Booths where visitors could have their cars washed with foam by maintenance professionals and learn stretching exercises to recover from fatigue and prevent injuries were also popular.
At the venue, there was a lot of interaction between enthusiasts from all over the country, and a 40-year-old office worker from Nagaokakyo City said, ''The hobby of cycling allows you to connect with friends of all ages and genders. You can enjoy a variety of experiences at the venue. "Yes," he said with a smile. The event will run until May 26th.
