The Hozugawa City Fireworks Festival, the largest fireworks festival in Kyoto Prefecture, took place on the night of August 11, 2024, in the area north of JR Kameoka Station in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture. 10,000 fireworks, including the 2-shaku fireworks with a diameter of about 60 cm, which were launched for the first time as the highlight, colorfully painted the night sky in time with the music. As in last year, admission to the venue was paid, and about 28,000 seats were sold out.

The show began with 300 drones, which were ignited at around 7:45 pm. The 2-shaku fireworks appeared at the end, and when the large fireworks with a diameter of about 500 meters opened with a roar, a huge cheer came from the venue.
This year, new seats were installed that could be viewed from inside Sanga Stadium Kyocera. It was also possible to pitch a tent next to the pitch and stay overnight. A man (48 years old) who came with his family of four from Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture said, "It kills three birds with one stone by being able to enjoy the fireworks, camp, and play on the natural grass. It's also nice that we can get home smoothly since we're going home the next day."
The fireworks display was organized by an executive committee made up of Kameoka City, the Kameoka City Tourism Association, and others.
