The Sagano Scenic Railway (Ukyo Ward, Kyoto City) special train "Evening Cool Wind Chime Trolley" began operation on August 17, 2024. It runs through the trees and carries passengers to a station building decorated with wind chimes. Passengers in yukata robes felt the cool evening breeze as they were rocked on the trolley train.
Amid the popularity of autumn foliage and winter Christmas special services, the Sagano Scenic Railway planned this for the first time as a highlight event of the summer. About 210 people, including families and couples, boarded the train. The train departed from Saga Torocco Station (Ukyo Ward, Kyoto City) at around 5:10 pm, seen off by employees.
At Hozukyo Torocco Station (Nishikyo Ward, Kyoto City), the station platform was decorated with 450 wind chimes, and passengers who got off enjoyed the evening coolness by taking photos and listening to the sound of the wind chimes.
