Recently, hoteliers from Kyoto City toured accommodation facilities in the Tango region. Participants checked out the attractions of the facilities, such as the views and cuisine, and explored the possibility of attracting tourists from the Keihanshin area to the Tango region to increase cooperation and synergy in tourism.

Kyoto Prefecture and the Northern Kyoto Regional Collaboration Urban Area Promotion Corporation planned this for the first time to attract tourists to Tango in anticipation of the Osaka-Kansai Expo to be held in 2025. The tour was held on September 3rd, and 24 people participated, including managers and concierges in charge of customer service at 17 hotels in Kyoto City and Osaka Prefecture.
They toured hot spring inns and hotels in Kyotango City, Miyazu City, and Maizuru City, and had a social gathering at Shoeikan (Hama, Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture), which serves cuisine from the former navy.
At the Mercure Kyoto Miyazu Resort & Spa in Tai, Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture, employees showed them around the guest rooms and large public baths. Participants were captivated by the view of Amanohashidate and asked about the strawberry picking experience (January to May) that can be enjoyed in a nearby greenhouse.
Misa Yamamoto, chief concierge at Hotel Granvia Kyoto (Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City), said, "It was a valuable opportunity to learn about accommodation facilities in Tango. We would like to recommend it to guests who want to travel from Kyoto city."
