The Fukuchiyama Region Tanba Chestnut Festival, which promotes the autumn delicacy of Tanba chestnuts, was held on October 5, 2024, at the Fukuchiyama City Budokan in Sandanike Park in Inozaki, Fukuchiyama City, Kyoto Prefecture. Families came to buy fresh, seasonal food such as chestnuts, sweets, and locally grown agricultural products.

The festival is organized by an executive committee made up of Kyoto Prefecture, Fukuchiyama City, and producers. This season's Tanba chestnuts are harvested at a later time due to global warming, but overall they are sweet and taste great.
About 300 kilograms of Tanba chestnuts from the Chutan region were sold at the venue. As soon as the venue opened at 10 a.m., many people flocked to the sales corner, where chestnuts were sold as gifts at the competition, as well as boxed and weighted chestnuts.
In the surrounding area, chestnut rice and roasted chestnuts were also sold, and long lines were formed, attracted by the sweet smell. There were also lively games of chestnut grabbing and thorn throwing, with children looking nervous as they tested the feel of the thorns.
