On June 11, 2023, the "Betrothal ceremony" to welcome Hikaru Taki (11 years old), a child of the Gion Matsuri Naginata Hoko (Shijo-dori Karasuma Higashi-iriru, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto) into the town, was held in Kita-ku, Kyoto.
