【2024祇園祭】日本三大祭りの一つ、祇園祭が2024年7月1日に幕開けした。京都市東山区の八坂神社では、前祭（さきまつり）の山鉾巡行（7月17日）で先頭を行く長刀鉾の稚児が「お千度の儀」に臨み、祭りの無事を祈った。

The Gion Festival, one of Japan's three major festivals, kicked off on July 1, 2024. At Yasaka Shrine in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City, a young boy from the Nagatoboku float, which leads the Yamahoko procession of the Sakimatsuri (first festival) (July 17), took part in the "Osendo no Gi" ceremony and prayed for the safety of the festival.
