京都府警によると、2025年12月1日の午前6時ごろ、京都市北区衣笠鏡石町でクマらしき動物1頭が目撃されたという。現場は金閣寺の北東およそ700メートルの住宅地で、近くを天神川が流れている。今回の現場のすぐ近くにある京都市北区鷹峯旧土居町付近では、11月16日に同じような目撃情報があり、京都府警や京都市などは注意を呼びかけている。

According to the Kyoto Prefectural Police, an animal resembling a bear was spotted around 6:00 AM on December 1, 2025, in Kinugasa Kagamiishicho, Kita Ward, Kyoto City. The scene is a residential area about 700 meters northeast of the World Heritage Site, Kinkaku-ji Temple, with the Tenjin River flowing nearby. A similar sighting was reported on November 16th near Takagamine Kyu-Doicho, Kita Ward, Kyoto City, which is close to the scene of the recent incident, and the Kyoto Prefectural Police and Kyoto City are urging caution.
