京都市伏見区の伏見稲荷大社で2023年10月1日から、千本鳥居一帯の参道がライトアップされる「千本灯籠（とうろう）」が始まる。前日の9月30日の夜に試験点灯が行われ、トンネルのように立ち並ぶ朱色の鳥居が幻想的に浮かび上がった。

Starting October 1, 2023 at Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City, the ``Senbon Toro'' festival will begin, in which the entire approach to the Senbon Torii gates will be lit up. The test lights were lit on the night of September 30th, the previous day, and the vermilion torii gates lined up like a tunnel appeared in a fantastical manner.
