The roses are in full bloom at the Kyoto Prefectural Botanical Garden in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City. The spacious "Rose Garden" is filled with a sweet fragrance, and visitors enjoy the colorful roses blooming all over.

The botanical garden is home to 1,400 roses of 320 varieties. The warm weather after Golden Week has caused the roses to bloom all at once, and they are now in full bloom.
The German-bred "Blue Bayou" is a medium-sized rose with a bluish wisteria color. Blue roses are said to be rare in nature, and the fantastic color has attracted attention. There are also roses named after Kyoto place names and culture, such as the large-flowered red "Kifune."
Butterflies flutter about in the garden, attracted by the sweet fragrance, and visitors take commemorative photos and sit on the terrace to enjoy "rose ice cream."
The garden will be open until the end of May.
