The spring performance of "Kyo Odori," a traditional dance from Miyagawa-cho, Kyoto's geisha district, will open on April 4, 2026, at the Miyagawa-cho Kaburenjo theater in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City. The final rehearsal, known as "O-zarai," took place on April 2nd. This was the first time the Kyo Odori was held at the newly rebuilt theater, and the geiko and maiko approached the rehearsal with renewed determination for the first time in five years.
