From November 3, 2023, Eizan Electric Railway will begin a ``Momiji Tunnel'' that will illuminate the autumn leaves between Ichihara and Ninose stations in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City. Until November 26th.

Eizan Electric Railway's Kirara train runs through the illuminated "Momiji Tunnel" (November 2nd, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City)

This is an annual event where you can enjoy 280 maple trees spanning about 250 meters, and is part of the ''Kyoto Okuzashiki Kibune Maple Lantern'' event, which is sponsored by the executive committee made up of Eizan Electric Railway, Kyoto Bus, and the Kibune Tourist Association. During the period, Ninose Station and Kibuneguchi Station will also be lit up.

The lights will be turned on from around 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and trains passing through the target section will turn off their interior lights and drive slowly. The observation train ''Kirara'' will also run more frequently.

During the test lighting on the night of November 2nd, the lights gently illuminated the leaves on the side of the tracks, and passengers took pictures with their smartphones.
