The ''Hatsuike ceremony'' of Ikenobo, a flower arranging school to celebrate the new year, was held on January 5, 2024 at the Iemoto Dojo in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City. Approximately 750 disciples gathered from all over the country, excluding Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures, which were hit hard by the Noto Peninsula earthquake, and vowed to devote themselves to the year and arranged flowers.
