Shipping of the branded product ''Tango Sea Grown Igaki'', which is cultivated in northern Kyoto Prefecture, began on April 12, 2024. Approximately 230,000 of the large, meaty specialty products are expected to be shipped to all parts of the country by mid-August, about the same as last year.

Approximately 70 people are producing the products in locations such as Maizuru Bay (Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture) and Kurita Bay (Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture). They are grown on rafts for more than three years, and only those with shells weighing more than 300 grams are sold as raw food.

On April 10th, just before the first shipment, the preparatory work off the coast of Sabaga, Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture was shown to the press, and fishermen used the fishing boat's crane to pull up rock oysters suspended from rafts and moved them to the work site. Removed any deposits etc. A 65-year-old man who worked on the fish said with pride, ''It's big, pure white, and the best result.''

The rock oysters that were shipped on the morning of April 12th were immediately displayed at fresh fish stores in Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture. A tasting event was held at the roadside station "Maizuru Port Toretore Center" in Shimofukui, Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture, and a 28-year-old man from Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture who was on a family trip said, ''I was surprised at how big it was. It spreads quickly and is delicious."
