【4K動画】祇園祭の長刀鉾保存会（京都市下京区）は2025年6月2日、鉾に乗る今年の稚児が、同志社小学校3年生の久保堅斗さん（8歳）＝京都市右京区＝に決まったと発表した。稚児を補佐する禿（かむろ）には、双子の兄弟のノートルダム学院小学校4年生の岡山登吾さん（10歳）＝京都市左京区＝と岡山晴汰さん（10歳）が選ばれた。
長刀鉾は、7月17日に行われる前祭（さきまつり）の山鉾巡行で先頭を進む。稚児は鉾に上がって「太平の舞」を舞いながら、四条通に張られた注連縄を切る役目を担う。

The role of the kamuro, or guardian of the young boy, will be played by twin brothers Okayama Togo (10 years old), a fourth-grader at Notre Dame Gakuin Elementary School (Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City) and Okayama Seita (10 years old).
The Naginata Hoko will lead the way in the Yamahoko procession in the Saki Matsuri, which is held on July 17. The young boy will climb onto the hoko and perform the "Taihei no Mai" (Dance of Peace) while cutting the sacred rope stretched across Shijo Street.
