スウェーデンのカロリンスカ研究所は2025年10月6日、2025年ノーベル生理学・医学賞を京都大学名誉教授で大阪大学免疫学フロンティア研究センター特任教授の坂口志文（しもん）氏（74歳）ら3人に贈る、と発表した。
10月6日の午後8時から、大阪府吹田市の大阪大学で受賞会見が行われた。

On October 6, 2025, Sweden's Karolinska Institutet announced that the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine will be awarded to Shimon Sakaguchi (74 years old), Professor Emeritus at Kyoto University and Specially Appointed Professor at the Osaka University Immunology Frontier Research Center, as well as two other recipients.
The award ceremony was held at Osaka University in Suita, Osaka Prefecture, from 8:00 p.m. on October 6.
