On the afternoon of January 1, 2026, a line of city buses could be seen on a city road in Kita-ku, Kyoto City. According to the Kyoto City Transportation Bureau, the area around Misonobashi Bridge was crowded with people making their first visit of the year to the nearby Kamigamo Shrine, causing around 30 city buses to become stranded.
