祇園祭の四条町大船鉾保存会（京都市下京区新町通四条下ル）は、このほど現代龍画の第一人者である塩谷栄一さん（85歳）＝京都市上京区＝から「昇降龍」画を寄贈された。八坂神社（京都市東山区）にゆかりの深い青龍が鋭くにらみをきかせた様子を描いた。

The Shijo-machi Ofune-hoko Preservation Society of the Gion Festival (located south of Shijo on Shinmachi-dori, Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto) has received a donation of a painting titled "Ascending and Descending Dragons" from Eiichi Shiotani (85, of Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto), a leading artist of contemporary dragon paintings. The artwork depicts the Blue Dragon—a figure deeply associated with Yasaka Shrine (Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto)—glaring fiercely.

參與祗園祭的四條町大船馱保存協會（京都府下京區新町通四條下）近日收到一幅名為《昇龍降龍》的畫作，畫作作者是居住在京都上京區的當代龍畫大師鹽谷榮一（85歲）。畫中描繪了一條與八坂神社（京都府東山區）有著密切聯繫的藍色巨龍，目光炯炯，氣勢凌厲。

기온 축제의 시조쵸 오후나보 보존회(교토시 시모교구 신마치도리 시조하루)는, 요즘 현대 용화의 제일인자인 시오야 에이이치씨(85세)=교토시 상교구=로부터 「승강 용」화를 기증되었다. 야사카 신사(교토시 히가시야마구)에 연고가 깊은 청룡이 날카롭게 흔들림을 일으킨 모습을 그렸다.
