京都にある五つの花街の芸妓と舞妓が集う合同公演「都の賑（にぎわ）い」が2026年6月27日と28日、京都市東山区の南座で開かれる。6月26日に仕上げの稽古「総ざらえ」が行われ、舞台衣装に身を包んだ芸妓と舞妓たちが、所作や姿勢、立ち位置などを一つ一つ確認した。
公演には、芸妓と舞妓、計77人が出演する。終幕の人気演目「舞妓の賑い」では、5つの花街から舞妓が4人ずつ同じ舞台に上がり、それぞれの流派の振り付けで踊りを披露する。

"Miyako no Nigiwai" (The Bustle of the Capital)—a joint performance featuring geiko and maiko from Kyoto's five flower districts—will be held on June 27 and 28, 2026, at the Minamiza Theatre in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto. A final dress rehearsal took place on June 26, during which the geiko and maiko, dressed in their stage costumes, carefully checked details such as their movements, posture, and positioning.
A total of 77 geiko and maiko will perform in the show. In the popular closing act, "Maiko no Nigiwai," four maiko from each of the five flower districts will take the stage together to perform dances featuring the choreography specific to their respective schools.
